Dr. George King was similar to UFO contactees Billy Meier and Orfeo Angelucci, who were chosen by extraterrestrial beings to spread their teachings, which was basically to dedicate their lives in the service of others, in order to save humankind.

But what separated him from them was that he was able to build a community and a church called the Aetherius Society that would aid him in his mission, even long after his passing. 

Who Was Dr. George King?

Family Life

Dr. George King was born to George Sr. and Mary on January 23, 1919, at Donnington Wood village in Wellington, Shropshire, England.

He came from a family imbued with spiritual inclinations, influencing him and his younger sister, Mollie, to believe in and practice them.

• His father practiced a Quaker faith, which advocated for peace and nonviolence.
• His mother grew up exposed to mediumship, healing, and the psychic arts thanks to her mother, Sarah Pritchard, and later became a spiritual healer herself. 
• His maternal grandmother (and his most favorite family member) was accomplished in the aforementioned spiritual arts, as well as an herbalist.

He was known to be a sickly child, spending most of his childhood battling illnesses one after another. But he was tenacious: he didn’t let this affect his life, and redirected his energy to sharpening his mind.

He was also devoted to prayer and baffled by how many didn’t know how to pray. In the biography, The King Who Came to Earth, written by close friends and disciples, Richard Lawrence and Brian Keneipp, he was quoted as saying:

Another thing that amazed me was the ignorance about prayer. That absolutely staggered me. I thought everybody would know about prayer. 

As a child, I knew about prayer, and I thought, “Well, other lads don’t seem to know about it,” although I did. “Maybe when I grow up, adults will know about it,” but they didn’t, and they had to be taught how to pray properly.

I’m not going to say everybody…but the majority of people I met did not know about prayer until they heard the difference. And when we were able to demonstrate what prayer was, “Oh my God, that is it.”

And his knowing how to pray was the reason, or perhaps it’s most appropriate to say “medium,” for his first spiritual healing (more on this later).

He later married Monique Noppe in Los Angeles on January 30th, 1971, and they had a celibate, metaphysical marriage.

Cosmic Experiences

At Dr. George King’s birth, his grandmother, Sarah Pritchard, told Mrs. King, “My God, Mary, this child isn’t of this Earth!”

And perhaps this was prophetic, since he was known as one of the Cosmic Avatars on Earth.

At Age 11

Dr. King performed his first spiritual healing and met a Cosmic Master at the tender age of 11.

At the time, his mother became ill and was getting worse as the days went by. The doctor was helpless with her case. 

Young Dr. King had an urge to do something for her—to make her feel better. He braved the torrential rain and ran into the woods, towards the clearing he used to play at. There, he prayed intently for his mother to be well again. He had his hands up in the air, in the direction of his house, and was visualizing his mother sick in bed. 

After a while, a man suddenly appeared 10–12 feet away from him. The being was tall, had long, brownish hair, and wore a flowing, luminous robe. He had this all-knowing, fatherly type smile as he told him, “Go, your mother is healed.”

And true enough, when he came back home, he saw his mother in good health. She shared that she knew of his prayer in the woods and of his meeting with an “angel.” She praised him to the skies, even to the doctor who came to check on her the morning after.

In His Early 20s

In the months leading up to World War II, Dr. King was drafted into the military. He had taken a non-combatant role, just as his father did in World War I, in the Auxiliary Fire Service (AFS).

Before he took up his post, he prayed. And similar to when he was 11, he received a visitation from an otherworldly being.

Not much is shared in the aforementioned biography about what happened during that time, aside from the fact that Dr. King became a conscientious objector (to serving in the armed forces). Perhaps this was influenced by his upbringing and his belief in karmic debt.

At Age 35

May 8, 1954, was a monumental date for Dr. King. It was on this day that he received the communication—or “The Command,” as they prefer to call it—that would shape the path of his life.

He was washing the dishes at the time when he suddenly heard an external voice declare in his ear these words:

Prepare yourself! You are to become the voice of Interplanetary Parliament.

He spent the next seven days in shock and in loneliness, as no one he knew could explain what this message meant, nor could they help guide him. 

Then, on May 16, as he was practicing pranayama, a Master Yogi, later revealed to be Swami Sivananda, visited him, entering his apartment through the locked door. Dr. King claimed that the Swami was a Venusian who had a terrestrial physical body on Earth. 

Swami Sivananda was there to help him understand “The Command” he was given. That Dr. King was one of the few chosen to “become servants of the Cosmic Masters” to help the people of Earth step away from materialism and save them from self-destruction; to live lives of selfless service to others. 

Before leaving, the Swami also imparted instructions in certain practices that would help him in his role as “the voice of the Interplanetary Parliament.”

After that meeting, he formed a group and practiced yoga diligently so he could “lift [his] mind into a higher framework of vibration, in order to tune in to the mental relay being radiated by the great Master Aetherius.”

What Is a Cosmic Master and a Cosmic Avatar, and Who Among Them Had Dr. George King Met?

A Cosmic Master is an extraterrestrial being who is more spiritually and technologically advanced than humankind. They come to Earth through the spacecrafts we commonly know as UFOs, “working tirelessly to help mankind evolve.”

A Cosmic Avatar is a Cosmic Master who, because of compassion, willingly comes to Earth through the womb of an Earth woman to spread spiritual wisdom and practice to humankind.

And Dr. George King has met many of them throughout his life.

In regard to Cosmic Masters, he was in frequent contact with two of them:

• Master Aetherius, the first Cosmic Master Dr. King met and the one who gave him The Command. He eventually became Dr. King’s master.
• Mars Sector 6, who hailed from Mars and was considered to be Dr. King’s superior officer.

With Cosmic Avatars, on the other hand, he had met religious figures, such as:

• Master Jesus, who had given Dr. King the spiritual practice called “The Twelve Blessings.”
• Lord Buddha, who had initiated Dr. King as the Grand Knight Templar of the Inner Sanctum of the Holy Order of the Spiritual Hierarchy of Earth (aka Great White Brotherhood).

Was Dr. George King a Cosmic Avatar?

According to the Aetherius Society (which we’ll tackle more later), Dr. George King was considered a Cosmic Avatar.

The strength, wisdom, and character he displayed from childhood were manifestations of his power as Cosmic Avatar; the challenges and experiences he had faced were necessary prices to pay for his mission.

His being a Cosmic Avatar enabled him to become “Primary Terrestrial Mental Channel” for the Cosmic Masters. Through cosmic transmissions, with Dr. King as the medium, the Cosmic Masters communicated with people willing to listen to and live by their teachings.

What Is the Aetherius Society, and What Did Dr. King Do There?

The Aetherius Society, which was named in honor of Master Aetherius, was founded by Dr. George King on August 2, 1956 to aid him in accomplishing the mission.

• To spread the teachings of the Master Aetherius and Jesus, and other Cosmic Masters
• To administer Spiritual Healing
• To prepare the way for the coming of the next Master
• To organize the Society so as to create favorable conditions for closer contact with, and ultimately for physical meetings with, people from other planets
• To tune in and radiate the power transmitted during a Holy Time or Spiritual Push in order to enhance all spiritual practices, irrespective of religious beliefs
• To form a brotherhood based on the teachings and knowledge of the Cosmic Masters

Two Greatest Teachings

Through Dr. King, the Cosmic Masters shared what are now known as the two greatest teachings of the Aetherius Society:

The Twelve Great Blessings

Also known as Master Jesus’s New Age Teachings, The Twelve Great Blessings is a spiritual practice in which a group of spiritual workers or advanced cosmic intelligences is given a specific blessing and uses dynamic prayers.

Dr. King initially delivered this to the members of the Aetherius Society for 12 consecutive Sundays, from July 27 to October 12, 1958.

The Nine Freedoms

Given by Cosmic Master Mars Sector 6, The Nine Freedoms is a series of cosmic transmissions that guide a person through spiritual evolution, allowing him to return to the Divine Source.

Dr. King introduced and taught this teaching from February 12 to March 15, 1961.

Operations Undertaken

The mission from the Cosmic Masters had three phases, each with its own operations that Dr. King and the members of the Aetherius Society undertook. Some of these are still being observed by the organization today.

Operation Starlight

It was a three-year mission to charge 19 holy mountains across the world with spiritual energies.

The charging was done by Cosmic Masters, who’d channel streams of spiritual power through Dr. King. The first was done by Master Jesus on July 23, 1958, and the last was by Saint Goo-Ling, a high-ranking member of the Spiritual Hierarchy of Earth.

Operation Bluewater

It was a mission to prevent the massive earthquakes and tidal waves that the Cosmic Masters had foreseen for the U.S. West Coast.

From July 11, 1963, to November 29, 1964, Dr. King, aided by the radionics apparatus he invented, would send spiritual energy that the Cosmic Masters transmitted into the psychic center of Mother Earth.

Operation Sunbeam

It’s one of the Aetherius Society’s active missions that Dr. King proposed and initiated himself, which the Cosmic Masters applauded. Here, they would give spiritual energies to Mother Earth “as a token of repayment of the vast debt owed by humanity to the Goddess.”

Operation Karmalight

It was a mission in 1969 in which six extraterrestrial Spiritual Masters known as the Six Adepts, including Dr. King, fought the Armageddon in the lower astral realms on Earth.

Operation Prayer Power

It’s another active mission in which they would, through prayer, store and concentrate spiritual energy in a spiritual power battery invented by Dr. King. They would then use this stored energy whenever Earth faces catastrophes, such as natural disasters and wars.

Operation Space Magic

It was a mission spearheaded by the Six Adapts to allow spiritual energies from four planets in our Solar System to enter and be poured upon Mother Earth, replenishing Her energy. They invented and placed radionic modules and satellites to facilitate this.

The Saturn Mission

It’s another active mission in which the Lords of the planet Saturn tasked Dr. King with transmitting their spiritual energy through a battery to the Earth’s psychic center. Its purposes are for world peace and for the stability of Earth’s natural condition.

Operation Power Light

It was Dr. King’s last mission. It was done in several phases, with the first conducted on March 18, 1993. Here, he became a karmic anchor in the transmission of spiritual energies, which would be used to heal and uplift the Earth.

What Do Researchers Say About the Aetherius Society?

Scholars have acknowledged that Dr. King’s Aetherius Society is the most well-known and longest-running new UFO religious movement (NURM) to date.

They see the organization as one that’s “firmly rooted in theosophy,” with Dr. King believing that extraterrestrial intelligences came from other planets in the Solar System and were benevolent creatures who wanted to help us avoid self-destruction.

And what started as a small club gradually became a complex religious belief system that combined extraterrestrial and spiritual healing concepts.

What Legacy Has Dr. George King Left in Ufology?

Dr. George King’s single legacy lies in the Aetherius Society. His mediumship for these extraterrestrial beings, whom he preferred to call Cosmic Masters, brought religion, spirituality, and metaphysics into the UFO lore.

Members of the UFO community who aligned with this belief came to view UFOs as vehicles of highly evolved intelligences who are concerned with humankind’s spiritual progress.

Can Dr. George King be considered a UFO contactee?

Yes. The UFO community considered him one of the prominent UFO contactees of the 1950s, especially with his founding of the new UFO religious movement, Aetherius Society.

Has anyone scientifically investigated the authenticity of Dr. George King’s experience?

As far as we know, no one has yet validated his contact with these extraterrestrial beings.
